We are the official Sommer Saddle dealers for the US East Coast and Midwest. We sell new and used Sommer saddles, and fit our saddles, along with other makes (provided they are flockable). Additionally, we offer warranty repairs on Sommer saddle trees, and other miscellaneous tack repairs.
We believe that Sommer makes exceptional, high performance dressage and jumping saddles – we were Sommer customers, long before we were dealers. The saddles have flexible trees, which allow horses to move their backs freely – the tree moves with the horse not against the horse.
The open head on Sommer dressage saddles frees up the horses’ shoulders. The panels are the biggest in the industry and spread the weight of the rider, while allowing the horse to remain sensitive to the aids. The gullet is wide enough for the spine, but does not exceed the muscling. The saddles also allow the rider to sit comfortably in balance with the horse, not in a forced position, and feature the “Venus solution,” a cutout in the tree that makes it particularly comfortable for anatomically female riders.
